vanilla oatmeal

this recipe is more about how i prepared my oats this morning than about the toppings, which you can clearly see. 

i used vanilla almond milk to cook the oats instead of water, and mixed in a dash of vanilla extract. when cooking oats with water i usually only microwave them for a minute, but i added 30 seconds today since the almond milk, being a more viscous liquid, requires more heat to be absorbed. then i topped the oats with a sliced banana, 1/4 cup of blueberries, 2 tbsp of ‘enjoy life’ semisweet chocolate chunks, 2 tbsp organic chocolate sauce, and 1 tsp chia seeds.
