i pretty much got out of bed, got dressed, and did errands all morning to prepare for my trip out of town for a youth gathering. i didn’t get a chance to eat until about noon, so i needed something large to fill me up. i decided to make a banana chocolate smoothie, one of my favorite meals.
ingredients: 3 ripe bananas, 3-4 frozen bananas, 1/4 cup organic chocolate sauce
directions: blend fresh bananas until smooth, then break up frozen bananas and blend in a little at a time until a milkshake consistency is achieved. finish by blending in the chocolate and enjoy!! i like to drink my smoothies outside – it helps me stay warm while enjoying a cold drink, and fruit always tastes better in the summer sun.
depending on the ingredients in your chocolate sauce and the size of your bananas, this drink contains anywhere from 600 to 1000 calories!! it’s a great way to carb up without feeling sluggish afterwards. and it tastes so good!!
